What is callaloo?

Callaloo is a tasty Caribbean dish with West African origins that includes ingredients from around the world. Our boutique is named Callaloo because we have a tasty variety of items to choose from, inspired by travel and world cultures. For more information, read our blog post explaining the name here.


What forms of payment do you accept?

Payment is accepted via credit card or through Paypal.

**Please note that Florida state residents will incur a 6% sales tax.**


What is your shipping policy?

Your jewelry will be carefully wrapped in tissue paper and a muslin bag and sent in a bubble mailer. If this item is a gift, it’s ready to be sent! A short, handwritten message can be included too – just add a note with your message during checkout.

Orders typically ship 1-3 business days after an order is placed, but please see my shop announcement for current shipping times. Please contact me before placing your order if you need it faster than normal.

Currently we are only able to ship domestically. Domestic orders are shipped via USPS First Class mail with Delivery Confirmation or via Priority Mail.  These selections may be made at checkout.


Callaloo is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.


What is your return policy?

Returns must be made within two weeks of receipt; after two weeks, all sales are considered final. You are responsible for paying the shipping cost for returns.

Custom items, such as waistbeads, are nonrefundable.


I saw an item I like on the site, but it’s marked as sold out. Can I order another?

Many of Callaloo’s items are one of a kind or subject to the availability of materials from a range of vendors. If you’d like to know if an item will be back in stock soon or can be replicated, please email us at callalooboutique@gmail.com.


How do I care for my Callaloo jewelry?

This shop uses many different materials and metals in our jewelry. Please read item descriptions carefully so that you know what to expect with each item. (For example, brass items tarnishing over time is normal.) To ensure the quality of your jewelry, refrain from wearing the pieces while showering, swimming, etc. This is especially true for waistbeads. Please use extra care in taking clothes on and off while wearing waistbeads, especially when going to the bathroom.


What if I need an item repaired?

Please handle jewelry with care. Repairs may be made within six months of your purchase date. You are responsible for the cost of shipping each way.
